Reactive and Proactive.

Applies for jobs, then starts connecting with employees.
๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ: Is told they donโt have enough experience, complains that they canโt get experience without being hired.
๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ: Is told they donโt have enough experience, goes out and creates their own.
๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ: Sends 5 networking emails, doesnโt hear back, says networking doesnโt work for them.
๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ: Sends 5 networking emails, doesnโt hear backโฆfollows up with those 5 people and then emails 5 more.
Gets rejected, gives up on the company.
Gets rejected, thanks their contact and continues the relationship.
Blames the hiring process for not giving them a chance.
Accepts the hiring process for what it is, then brainstorms ways to stand out anyway.
Reactive job seekers struggle with the process.
It takes them longer and they end up settling for jobs that donโt make them happy.
Proactive job seekers take control of the process.
They win coveted jobs that align with their values and pay them what theyโre worth.
The difference between reactive and proactive?
Itโs not degrees, experience, skills, or background.
Itโs mindset.
You get to choose.
